Where Experience Meets a Dream: The Story of Drugstore 94
Section 1 — Two Worlds Meet
Drugstore 94 was born from the meeting of two worlds.
On one side, there is a long experience built within the Italian and international production system, working alongside companies that create collections for prestigious brands.
Italy was the school. It is where product culture took shape: knowledge of materials, precision in workmanship, attention to proportions, details and timing. Above all, it is where one learns that distinctly Italian ability to bring together experience, technique, creativity and aesthetic sensitivity.
A heritage built over time through industry, craftsmanship and the work of people who truly know what they make — because they have touched it, constructed it, corrected it and improved it thousands of times.
Section 2 — Then, Tunisia
At first, simply a place of work. Over time, much more.
Years spent in the country made it possible to know its people, its history, its crafts and its traditions from close range, and to discover a kind of manual intelligence that often begins with instinct before technique.
A natural ability to invent, adapt and transform. A creativity not always shaped by the great schools of design, but nourished by curiosity, imagination, intuition and an extraordinary desire to make things happen.
Section 3 — An Important Encounter
It was in this context that an important encounter took place — with a young Tunisian creative.
It brought together ideas, energy and, above all, one very clear desire: to build something of his own without being forced to leave the land where he was born.
That encounter raised a question: Why should a dream always have to be pursued somewhere else? In Milan. In Paris. In London. In New York.
Drugstore 94 was also born from the desire to try the opposite — to bring experience, knowledge and product culture here, to Tunisia.
Section 4 — A Dialogue, Not an Imitation
Not to imitate Italy. And not to abandon what Italian experience had taught. But to create a dialogue:
- Between discipline and instinct
- Between experience and new possibilities
- Between product culture and creative freedom
- Between a long knowledge of the craft and a young, curious point of view still capable of being surprised
Drugstore 94 was not born from a strategy designed around a table. It was born from years of experience, from a deep knowledge of Tunisia, and from the desire to give space to a dream that deserved to become real here.
Section 5 — What True Value Means
True value does not come from erasing the identity of a place in order to make it feel more international. It comes from doing exactly the opposite: recognising what is authentic in that place, combining it with knowledge, experience and quality, and allowing it to speak to the world with a new voice.
Section 6 — Two Cultures, One Vision
This is how Drugstore 94 was born — from the meeting of two cultures that do not need to resemble one another in order to create something together.
Italy brought product culture, discipline, quality and experience. Tunisia brought energy, craftsmanship, imagination, identity — and the place where this dream could become real.
